This review is from the January 2012 issue of our LJ eMag.
“Consulting Woodworker” is donating another book for a free draw! (See below for details)
“Frontier Logs Playset” is a booklet providing in-depth plans for making a log homestead.
Ralph has done all the experimentation for us and shares the version (dimensions, notches etc.) that he has found to work the best. Also, what I really like about the plans, is that he explains why you would want to do things in a certain order rather than it being just a “do this next” step-by-step instructions.
Not only does the book include the in-depth instructions and photos but it also has some animal photos that can be copied/glued onto wooden pieces to enhance the play value as well as photos of a variety of constructions that can be made with the playset.
Thumbs up for the playset!
