If your planning on using Rockler’s new “Pro Shelf” template set for professional work don’t even bother to open the box. The set includes registering pins for 5mm and 1/4” pins. However the set does not include the registering pins for the 7/32” holes you need to drill if your using the more professional brass insets and shelf pins. According to the website and the staff with whom I spoke, Rockler does not sell or make the necessary registering pins. Strangely, they sell the shelf pins, the 7/32” insets, and the 7/32” self centering drill bits, but unbelievably not the necessary registering pins for their own house brand template. This oversight means this template is absolutely useless for many professional projects. Its no good whatsoever for any high-end work where you want the brass insets. So if you just bought this product and plan on using the “pro Shelf” for any professional grade work, hang on to your receipt as you may want to return it.

The Rockler Jig-It has self-centering bits for 7/32” inserts.

Deke , no its actually a new Rockler item and they made a major oversight.

Pkat, I have the Jig-It and the centering bit, I wanted a more professional jig. The $70.00 “pro-jig” actually has less capabilities than the $30 Jig-It

Have your say...
