Although mostly used in the auto industry they are very handy in the wood shop.
The 1/4’’ angle die grinder with a 3M Roloc head installed. the discs install with 1/2 turn on 1/2 turn off
Lots of sanding discs available the 36 and 50 grit are great for smoothing and blending edges on anything with curves. Fast, noisy, and dusty. FND Can’t have everything.
Different grits are available in 2” , 3”, 4” diameter the Scotch Brite pads, great for cleaning up rusty tools or polishing the face of a hammer. Work great on aluminium with a little WD40 as lube
I find the 2” size the most handy, available by each and large quantities are cheaper per. Once you use one you will wonder how you got along without it.
Any 1/4 angle die grinder will do. The better ones are quieter and use less air per output. Just remember to add a few drops of oil a the tool so you don’t contaminate you hose.
One tool in my shop that is pretty well permanently attached to the air hose. Have use it on the lathe, both metal and wood turning for buffing and polishing.
Great tool and attachments.
