Great video. Wow, that is some nice stuff! Yeah, I’m curious about the plate edge designs too. I’m guessing a stamp that is burned in? Also, what kind of finish is on those plates?

Woodnut, and Steve, The plate edges are burnt freehand using various tips from a 25 dollar woodburner kit. The finish is lacquer right out of the spray bomb. Thanks for the questions, now back to Woodworking for Mere Mortals to see how the chair is comming along.

Nice video and turning – Especially like the big platters. Turning videos are surely the best ;-)
Cheers,
Richard

Great music too! Love the wood turning! Good work on those plates. I love to do plates, you never know what the wood is going to give you for figure till you are done. Looks like you go that extra little bit to enhance what is there!

Great video. I really like the music also, because I love being in the country or a small town I should say. I really love your videos, they have taught me a lot, since getting back into woodworking.
