This is the tool I use to turn the dovetail foot in the bottom of the plate to attach the chuck in my video “From Barns to Bowls” The only thing I’d do diffrent is brake the file in half( make it shorter). As it is in the video, it tends to work like a chatering tool. One has to hold it firmly to the tool rest!

absolutely gorgeous! you cannot Buy them that nice, anywhere! i would like to see a video of it in use, i’m just starting and haven’t even owned a jaw chuck yet, but with my new lathe upgrade i’m definitely getting one for larger capacity =]....anyways, i haven’t been able to find much on the net, and if it takes too long for me to find how to do something, i usually get impatient and try by experience, which isn’t always good! lol keep up the good work Ron =]

Have your say...
