Where are you at. specifically?

What do you have, specifically?

Would love to see species/prices that you have available. I’m always on the lookout for a good wood source here in Northern Illinois without having to drive up to Wisconsin or pay outrageous prices at the wood outlets.

Hello, also interested in what you have in white oak and walnut and pricing.

Thanks, Nick

Well, I can’t message anyone back until I post 6 times. I doubt that will ever happen.

You are at three posts, so six isn’t that tough. Post a couple pics in the meantime.

I’m always on the lookout for walnut sources and possibly some cherry too. 4/4 is what I use the most but some 8/4 is handy too. Since you can’t respond to PM’s yet, I won’t PM. But if you go to my Altare Design site, you’ll be able to contact me. I’m less than 2 hours distant and can do my own hauling if necessary.

Some lumber was cut on a blade mill powered by steam so fairly deep curf marks. Some on a wood mizer very smooth and more quarter sawn. It is not well sorted one logs wood stacke then next log on top.

Ok, since this is my 6th post, I will contact you all, in the order you contacted me. I will try uploading pictures. When successful, I will submit the pictures to each of you. If all of you are interested, you will all be invited as a group to buy what you want if you want. I will not be party to any type of price war. That is not an interest of mine. You would all be happy and all will be fair. If only one is interested, that is fine too. We will both be happy and fair. I have always had a wood fetish, but also a blacksmithing fetish and old car fetish. Now that we are retired, my wife wants me to relinquish more than a thimble full of our real estate to her.

Well, my 6th post may not be appropriate or binding. I just don’t want to spend a lot of time dillydallying, and I also want the guy that can’t afford to buy out the whole stash, to have his opportunity at a good find too. Again, suggestions are welcome.

Thank you so much Ocelot! I will have to stop what I’m doing and take the pictures. That will take a couple of days because I’ve been out of town for two months and have mowing, mail adn the daughters car to contend with.
