Yes it will handle an 8” dado stack. I make all my zero clearance inserts out of laminated flooring.

Either 6” or 8” may fit on the arbor, but I think what they’re getting at is that it’ll have an easier time spinning the smaller stack….it’s lighter and easier on the motor and bearings. Which stack are you looking at?

Since, by definition, a dado blade is only going to cut dados, why push your luck and stress the motor shaft arbor. A 6” blade will easily cut over 1 1/4” deep and thats about a 1/2” more than I ever need.

Thanks for the input and info. I was probably just going to buy something cheaper. Fairly new to woodworking and have spent a lot of money in the last few months on equipment. Oshlun has a 6” for 70$ on amazon. That’s a little more then id like to spend tho.

The Oshlun is a really good bang for the buck. Better to spend it wisely than to waste it. I wouldn’t recommend spending anything on the junk that’s routinely ~ $50 or less. Blades are where the “rubber hits the road” with table saws….the saw will never be better than the cutters you put on it. I’ve never regretted an upgrade on good blades/cutters.
