The number you provide appears to just be the model number of the base and/or the motor, not the sander… here is a relevant thread from over at the OWWM site, which mentions this:

The 52-611 is a stand with a 1-1/2 HP single phase motor and manual push-button controls for said motor, at least according to my year 2000 catalog.

The sander is likely to be a 31-730 sitting on top of a 52-611 stand.

Although, it’s also mentioned in that thread that according to the 1977 manual, 50-xxx numbers refer to bases, while the 52-xxx numbers refer to motors, so while that adds a bit of confusion as to what is what, it certainly isn’t the model number of the sander itself! If you can find the serial number of the machine, at least that would give you a manufacturing date to go on.

And if what you got is in fact a 31-730 disc/belt combo, then it is a 6×48 belt.

Cheers,
Brad
