Bended side rails for bed

One idea is to add a hardwood cleat on what will become the inside of the long bed rails. The cleat could be 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” (which I guess is about 3.8 centimeters). The cleat could set about 1” (2.5 centimeters) below the top edge of the long bed rail and glued and screwed in place. The cleat could then be used to support slats. The slats would support a box spring mattress or a panel (plywood) if the bed has no box spring mattress. The cleat would have to be straight and accurately positioned from the top edge of the bed rail. I assume that the long bed rail has enough flex that the cleat would cause the bed rails to straighten out.

I have the same idea. I thought there is a trick that could put them back exactly how they was.
