Hear! Hear!

Being a veteran myself, service members—especially those in danger’s path—are always in my thoughts..

I will be making my traditional brined and smoked turkey for Thanksgiving. I have some Pearwood scraps from the felled tree I got last year that I will be using for the smoker fuel.

May you all have something good to be thankful for. I enjoy this time to reflect on what good has happened in the last year (the past in general) and take a moment to thank the folks that made this possible….including our vets and our allies around the world….I Hope you all enjoy the holiday – and to our Non-American LJ’s – I wish you all the same without the “holiday” part.

Thanks David for your wishes…Cheers to an even better 2010!!

David and ALL Lumberjocks out there, I wish everyone a lovely Thanksgiving and hope you get to spend premium time with your families and make it so special.
I am changing from sawdust to flour this week as I am called upon to conjur up the feast for all. We have 4 children (adults) and 13 grandchildren to feed and entertain, so I’ll be real busy and in need of a vacation afterwords.
All of you, please be careful if you have long distances to travel and once again from my family to yours, we wish a super holiday.

Have a great holiday season to you and yours David , and to all. This year my be different for many as jobs were lost or economic trials abound the globe but I see families becoming closer, friends bonding to one another more and values becoming treasured rather than money. Think of what our community as wood workers can do for gifts. You can’t just buy a gift from the hand & heart. If we have the time & wood make something for your loved ones & they will endear it more than anything you could buy.
Thanks for posting this thread David, I’m sure it makes for a special thought of friends & family! Scott

David, I traded my John Deere for a Kubota (Yeah, I really had one)—-Gee, is that un-American or what. I needed a front end loader and the Kubota dealer gave me a better deal. The training wheels might be a good idea though, my driving is not the best. And just what does all this have to do with woodworking—-absolutely nothing, but thanks for the thought.

Happy Holidays
