Roper, I can cut timbers probably as thick as 20”x20”, maybe larger, although they would need to be dried. Some of these came from a 37” diameter giant maple from New Hampshire that was felled in 2006. I’ve got quite a varied lot, some of incredible size. I also have access to a loggers mill so any size can be custom cut, up to 22 ft long. I also have lots of hickory, cherry, and locust; probably several thousand board feet each, all in very beefy slabs. Here are some slabs of cherry I’m also willing to trade for: |

You really know how to make me envious, don’t you!!! Those are some gorgeous cherry slabs. I don’t know where I would even put a slab this big. -- Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful- Joshua Marine |

Unfortunately, for me, I’m in NE Oklahoma! So the big slabs for tables would be prohibitive for me. But, do you have any that are 7/4 to 8/4 thick by 3.5 to 4” wide by 35 to 39” long? I use them to carve walking canes and rifle stocks. I make them out of one pc of wood as opposed to attaching a handle to a dowel. If you have any, please let me know the price and shipping? A picture of the pc would be a great help. I could also use a couple of fairly well matched (don’t have to be book matched) pcs for end tables and night stands. Any chance stumbling over a pc 6/4 to 7/4 thick by 4 to 5” wide to 36 to 40” long? If so, could you take a picture and either post it or email it to me @ canesunique@live.com and what would it cost to ship the pc to Zip 74021 in Oklahoma? I sure hope it works out, cuz I’d need more. Paul -- Paul - The sweetest sound in my shop, next to Mozart, is what a hand plane makes slicing a ribbon. |

Are you willing to ship if the buyer pays? -- Patrick, Helicopters don't fly. They beat the air into submission. |
|
#34 posted 723 days ago |
I delivered a couple slabs just recently, but the buyer came to select the stock first, and had me mill it to his specs. Because spalting is random within a tree, no two pieces look alike, and some slabs have amazing spalting lines throughout, so if you’re wanting to handpick the best one I’d advise viewing, however, if you want me to pick, cut to your size and deliver I’m always fair with the price according to the caliber of the stock. Anyone here can private message me at Lumberjocks with a general idea of the desired dimensions and quantity and I’ll give an estimate. |

Hi Dudeabides, I’ve been searching for spalted maple slabs for a round table a friend needs. I’m going to glue-up 5 slabs, each 14-16 inches wide, 65-80 inches long a piece. The length varies because its a round table. Can you help me out? Anyways msg or call me: Michael Wong Thanks! |
