OK, I’m going to let someone like knotscott answer most, but I can answer #1 $350 for that saw is gloat-worthy, especially if it is single phase and not 3 phase. #3 The cabinet, motor, and top(not including the wings) are a little over 500lbs. I would suggest removing the rails and extension wings for transport. Width wise on a mobile it’s too long to fit on a box truck lift gate leaving the only option of loading precarious I would imagine. Like JayT said KnottScott will probably have better info. $350? you stole that! I just bought a brand new SC saw for $500 I would have driven 500 miles to get that saw at $350! You suck! ;) Paul |

You got an awesome price. I searched in my area for months for something similar. 8-$1200 and they went quickly. I love my UNI but a 66 is what I wanted. Quality machine. That flag on the front means something. |

Naw, you paid way too much. I’ll be over in a little bit and take it off your hands for $250, that way you’ll only be out $100 bucks. Just joking! Great buy. Enjoy. Be Careful! Herb -- Herb, Florida - Here's why I close most messages with "Be Careful!" http://lumberjocks.com/HerbC/blog/17090 |

When I bought my used / new to me Unisaw I picked it up and dragged it home using my 8×8 tilt bed snowmobile trailer. Worked great so if you can borrow a tilt bed that’s all ya need. I’ll add on more you suck to the list. Seems like a killer deal!! Especially if it’s a single phase. -- Bill, central NY...no where near the "big apple" |

Jayt, plk, bbc557ci and worksintheory, Cant remember the last time I felt so good about someone telling me “I suck”. I was very lucky. I have been cruising CL for 4 months looking for one of these (checking online 3-5 times daily for table saws). I happened to do a search in Indy for just “tools”, nothing specific (it didn’t show under table saw). I saw this and immediately responded. Turns out, the guys wife had just posted it 5 minutes ago. She responded within 10 minutes and said she had 20 inquiries already, but I was first. I told her I was leaving NOW and do not sell! she said she would hold it and we made the deal. I feel very fortunate. Right time right place lots of luck. |

bbc5571. Yes it is single phase. |

No offense but I hate you even more knowing it’s single phase! Great find! Just spent $500 on a new saw that I thought I got a great deal on. This deal trumps any deal I’ve seen since I’ve been a member. Paul |

Paul, Lets see how it plays out. It ran well and seems to be good mechanically, but I want to get it home and check it all out to make sure it all checks out. I think it plays out well because the folks I am buying it from are very genuine good Midwest people…but…you never know with machinery what you could encounter. Just on the surface: |

Wow…congrats on a great deal. Was the 5 gallon chew toy included?! ;-) IIRC, it weighs 600# without the fence, closer to 600# with the fence….their meehanite cast iron is heavier than most. AFAIK, the BORK will not fit that saw, so those you mentioned, or making something are the options…..maybe a Sharkguard will fit….check with Lee Styron. Take lots of pics of the refurb! I found 1983 manuals the same place you did…. PM’s CS might have a lead. ...and a 2001: -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

I hear sirens in the distance. I have the sharkguard on my unisaw, it has a well built splitter, sturdy guard and overhead dust collection. Only problem is you have to remove it for narrow cuts and dados. -- Jim from Kansas |

We’ve bought several used 66’s over the years and they’ve all turned out to be great. You won’t get hurt at that price. helluvawreck aka Charles -- helluvawreck aka Charles, http://woodworkingexpo.wordpress.com |

Great steal. Sounds like you are on the right track renting a lift gate. I bought my unisaw from and older gentleman, and it took the two of us about 3 hours to get the thing taken apart and put in the truck. We basically took it totally apart and I put it all the way back together at home. If you are alone, I’d expect at least a full day of disassembling, getting onto truck, transporting, off-loading, and reassembling. Try to bring a friend if you can, those cast iron pieces are the real deal. Get yourself some good cleaners, degreasers , and lubricants. I have some LPS brand products that I like, but I am sure there are plenty of options. Where possible, use dry lubricant to keep sawdust from clumping up in gears and other moving parts.
