Teah, I got a pm from a new member that had nothing to do with woodworking but it was easy to delete! So not a problem for me.

One is no big deal. I got two from the same person (grado) but still, no big deal. The issue is that the site is set up in such a way that spammers can easily sign up and now they are getting smarter (frakin’ toasters!) and are sending PMs. The admins should really be proactive to put something in place now before it becomes more commonplace.

Maybe require the entry of verification data (or whatever those annoying wavy letter/number boxes are) before sending a PM? For the record, though, I hate those things.

I’m just concerned that with the influx of all these new accounts, we could be in for some trouble if they all start this crap.

Yep, I’d been hit by Grado, too.

Mike, Is MsDebbie the one to send notes to rather than Martin?

Jim, it does seem that MsDebbie is the most responsive for us LJs living in N. America.
