Thanks guys:) gfadvm-they tend to stay towards the ceiling lol. I think they are camera shy;) copcarcollector-yeah, did you see how beat up those boxes were? I was worried I would be waiting on another part, but luckily not and I got it together and got to play with it that night! Well…early morning. I made my first cut at 3am:)

Congrats on the saw. Must feel great to have such a nice saw after the old one you showed in the video. And I love that you’re getting your daughter involved, and she seems interested. Must be awesome.

Can’t wait to see some of the projects roll off of that saw! :-)

Congrats on the saw! Now I have a question—I have the same three little hooks on the back of my saw, any idea what they are for?

Me too on my Grizzly, I am guessing the wrenches to change the blades (why at the back..?), or maybe additional table inserts—-

Thanks guys:)
Mosquito-5am comes pretty quick lol.
nwbusa-I was wondering the same thing…I thought maybe it was for the cord, but the wrenches seem like a better idea. Maybe you could hang an extra blade too…I’m not sure lol
Sandra-From the few cuts I have made so far, I can say that I am very impressed! My first cut was a piece of hard oak about 1 1/2in thick. When I made the cross cut, I couldn’t even tell it was cutting. The rip, I could barely tell I was cutting. So, I am VERY happy with it so far:)
I can’t wait to make something with it…and make a lot of cuts!!

congratulations on your new saw, you should have many years of use with it, and your daughter can pass it on to her daughter.
you are also lucky to get it delivered the way you did, I cannot get a carrier to come out to my place with a machine that big, I have them deliver it to a local store with a dock and fork lift, it usually costs me a case of beer to get it loaded onto my trailer. lol

kdc68-no kidding! I was pretty nervous turning it on the first time…I have never put a saw together lol.
Thekiltedcarpenter-I did stay up all night putting it together lol. I put it together when I got it Thurs, finished putting it together at about 3am, and made my first cut:) And it was great:) Then went in and downloaded all the vids and went to bed at 5am. Yesterday, I worked on my video with what free time I had…after I slept in too late lol.
Thats okay Shane. I am working(which is why each post is taking me like 20min lol) so I will check when I get home. Monday I will make my first project! Suggestions anyone???

How about an outfeed table or a crosscut sled for your new saw?

I’d go with the out feed table first, it won’t take long then you can get on with the sled.

good idea kdc68! I def need one of those, and the rear fence already has a place to mount one. There was no way to attatch one directly to the rigid b/c the fence would hit it. Now I’m excited…too bad I’m stuck at work all weekend! Maybe I should play hookie tomorrow…lol. Thanks a1Jim:)

I really like the colors
How many HP is the motor?

Why not make the out-feed table “right the first time” instead of having to re-do it again a bit later?

Such a purdy saw :)
Really beefy looking fence system. Wanna see that in action.

Mike Holmes says “if you’re gonna do it, do it right the first time.” I tend to wait far too long to redo it when i just do it quick for now. Do it up right the first time. It’s a saw that deserves it. :)

Can’t wait to see the next video installment.

lol that’s true onlyjustme…I guess I better start drawing up my plans now since it’s gonna be more than a table with adjustable legs lol. I need to get more organized in my video taping so I don’t have HOURS of footage to go through when I’m done…I’m sure it will get better the more I do though.
