My Dad. Quiet, unassuming, very competant, and not swayed with the likes of Clinton and Swaggert.
Kinda bordering on politics and religion in one fell swoop don’tcha think.
I’m more inclined to revere the guys who pounded out our country from the wilderness with axe and people power.

Bill, you have to admit both Bill and Jimmy have people power. It’s nice that one of your models is dad. Too often we take them for granted.

It would have to be Dick Cheney or Dan Quayle.

No contest, Quayle by a landslide. He is the smarter of the two. I stand by Swaggert though.

But Cheney’s compassionate conservatism is also a quality I try to emulate.

True, toidiem, true. Damn, now I’m not so sure about Quayle. Oh well, Swaggert is still the man.

I used to have a role model. But, it died.

You’re as crazy as a couple others on this site. Quick comeback but can you handle the really deep thinking?

DKV; President Reagan did not care about honorifics. He wanted to get the right thing done and damn the accolades.
Above all he loved this country and it’s people.

Role model!? – What a stupid modern double abstraction.
Why would you want to play a role, a hollow falseness?
And model yourself after someone else? Impossible.
Be yourself – everyone else is already taken.

Gene is right. Why would I try to act like someone else.

Well, except for maybe Wally in the Dilbert comic strip.
