Just my non-expert opinion, but I think it might be priced a bit high. I got my Delta 8” Jointer for only $525 used off of CL. Now I think I got a good deal, but mine is also in better shape than this one. Although mine is only 1.5 HP and not made in then USA. I wonder if this one really is 2 HP? But like I said, I am no expert. Maybe you could talk him down or maybe others will think it is worth it.

I don’t know where or how he arrived at the price , but it is more than I would offer him as well. -- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did. |

Across the country CL listings of course vary, and this is a good vintage one to have, however, jointers simply don’t bring that kind of money. |

Probably wasn’t $750 brand new , back in the day , especially without a stand. -- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did. |

Thats some good ole iron there. I have it’s little baby brother. A 4” same vintage and that weighs a good bit. I only payed $15 for mine, so that being twice the size should only be $30 right? -- In the end, when your life flashes before your eyes, will you like what you see? |

Len, Throughout the years I’ve seen numerous ‘Frankenplanes’ ...this, however, is the 1st ‘Frankenplaner’ that I can remember. :-) CL has brought to light some interesting and very collectable tools. Thanks Len, for posting this unique chuckle.
