I don’t know about your “curvings” but I love you carving work. You know woodworkers don’t tend to get out of the shop very often… Keep up the good work. -- Chris Adkins, http://highrockwoodworking.com/ |

I would have to think that some are trying to be funny with a play on misspelled words. It could be do to the couple female form carvings you have done or the one photo of you holding the coat of arms carving (slightly low cut blouse). This is all it takes to get the guys that have spent to much time alone in the shop all riled up to rut. I apologize for men being men instead of gentlemen. Your carvings are fantastic and you are very talented. Keep up the good work and i look forward to your future projects. Do you use all hand tools or do you use a dremel type tool too? p.s. Be aware when putting your 2 cents in, you only get a penny for your thoughts. You’re losing money. lol -- In the end, when your life flashes before your eyes, will you like what you see? |

Thanks everyone for your input on the subject. I hope I didn’t make my post sound as though I’m horribly mad or offended. I actually had a good chuckle over it, but was just curious if it’s becoming a common play on words to have a little fun with the jock-ettes, or if it was honest spelling mistakes. I just found it odd that 3 woodworkers in a row didn’t know how to spell carvings, lol! I assumed it wasnt by accident by the 3rd. To answer the question above, I use NO power tools in my carvings what so ever. All done by hand with chisels (and mallet when extra force is needed). -- Heidi :) “The only source of knowledge is experience” |

Dennis, Sadly I still haven’t gotten the smaller palm chisels to better fit my hands, as $$$ is always tight, and the ends never seen to quite meet, but someday I will!! :-) -- Heidi :) “The only source of knowledge is experience” |

if it continues please let us know. Although it might have been a slip and it might have been found humorous it is still disrespectful since you don’t know the people -- ~ Debbie, Canada (http://www.execulink.com/~yohan) |

Heidi, I went to your projects page and took a look and they are all very nicely done. You do very good work so keep the carvings coming. helluvawreck aka Charles -- If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. I hope they’re using a phone with auto correct and it truely was a mistake. I would like to think we’re above that. That being said, there are are always (unfortunately) a few who are not. I hope you can ignore the ignorant ones and continue gracing the rest of us with your projects. -- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it. - It's not ability that we often lack, but the patience to use our ability |
