OK, you have a friend request from me.
I use Facebook. I have never looked at Twitter, though I might have to some day.
I don’t think having no friends makes you look like an idiot. Maybe it’s the hat. ;-)

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I like my hat, but lately I’ve been letting Abraham Lincoln wear it. (In case anybody wonders who that guy hanging on my shop wall with the hat on is…)

I use Facebook quite a bit. Lots of fun people there for me and my family and friends too. It is hard to divide my personal from my professional, even though I have a professional page – so many woodworkers are also ‘friends’. I think it is a good way to network and get word out. Since I re-post my blog there, it brings more people to both my own site and also Lumberjocks. I know not everyone likes it, but I do! :)

I have a FB, Twitter and MySpace account. I haven’t been to Twitter or MySpace in years. Facebook I am on more than I am here getting updates from my kids and grand kids.

Request sent and accepted now I’ll have to make a new category list for wood workers!

LOL! I train my cats to do most of it! I just sit around and watch TV and eat chocolates and tell them what to do. I use positive reinforcement (catnip) and they fall in line pretty quickly! :D

Stumpy the way these large social networking sites are now it’s not hard to link them up. I use YouTube, Google+, Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon. I can post a video on YouTube then have most of them automatically linked to the original post. Google+ is the new thing. Last night a fellow woodworker – social net worker emailed me his woodworking circle. With 3 clicks I had networked with over 500 people. The more the merrier. So lets all be friends. And if the need arises and there is a genuine cause we can get the word out and be heard. Take Sheila I tweet, lj, and Google+ with her, I think I might even have her on Facebook.

I agree with Dave. They all integrate together. I still need to learn how to ‘tweet’ a bit more. I use that the least. I know those have to be short though and you all know how hard that is for me! LOL Still learning, but I like “meeting” and being friends with everyone. Woodworkers are great! :)

I have a Facebook and Twitter account. I seldom use Facebook, and have never tweeted anything.

I use WordPress for my blog. The latest version added social networking, so I turned those functions on. Now if someone else wants to like, +1, tweet, or stumble upon one of my articles, the buttons are in place.

I used Facebook for a while, mainly to post pictures during my 11 week business trip to Hawaii (my photo over there is me standing outside our building there). When I got back home, I didn’t see much point in using it. They’re sorta trying to get us to use it at work, what with the ‘kids’ and all coming in these days. I guess I’m not that social to begin with, so a random stream of mundane thoughts doesn’t appeal to me.

I had a facebook account but canceled it because I’m on Ljs and don’t have time to see what one person has to say about another or who got a new vacuum cleaner. LOL I know others like it and that’s fine if that’s what they like to do more power to them.

I use FB but like some others I use it mostly to keep track of family and close friends. I have less than 50 FB friends. But some folks will have 600+ “friends”. I don’t get that. FB only shows you posts it thinks you will be interested in which I find annoying. I have a Twitter account, but don’t use it much. It’s for “breaking news”, and “this JUST happened” kind of stuff. I’m happy to check in once a day. Call me anti-social.

I hate Facebook!
It seems like EVERYTIME I go there, I get lost and can’t do anything! Once I find that I can COMMENT, I type a COMMENT, hit ENTER, and get some damn message “Cannot send your Comment… Try again”... I have learned that it doesn’t make any difference How Many Times I TRY AGAIN… I get the same message… by that time, I just GET OUT of the CRAPPY program! I HATE IT! IT SUCKS!

To me it’s a complete waste of time…

Twitter, etc. NO… NO MORE… I have enough to keep me TOO busy!

I’m a big twitter user: @cascokid. Be forewarned: you may discover my more political side.

Twitter is extremely useful if/when we start using hashtags. #woodchat is a good one. I will keep an eye on it. #LJ is short and sweet. Ultimately, the community of users decides.

My Facebook account “Cascokid San” echoes my tweets and is useful for RSVP-ing to some live events, but is otherwise dormant. I do not understand the Facebook M.O. You can listen in on a public conversation on twitter, but on Facebook you have to beg (usually a stranger) for “friendship.” Ugh.
