Haven’t had a problem. Have noticed this site isn’t running very fast but that could be attributed to the problems they have been having.

I haven’t had that problem. I agree with Howie though it has been running a little slow.

More than likely its from one of the banners or ads included in the webpage from another address. It could be trying to create a cookie to track your browsing habits. I’m not of fan of these customized marketing tactics but they’re everywhere now. I’m also not sure if Martin is aware of these ads.

Just to be safe I would get a spyware checker (if you dont already have one) and check for spyware/adware.

I have Maleware Bytes and that is what is catching it. It shows it is trying to connect to a malicious web site every time I bring up LumberJocks.

I was thinking Martin would check that out, but haven’t heard anything from him. The web site address is somewhere in Europe when I trace it.

The only calls I get from this sight are , , and None of these are particularly malicious.

The IP you posted may be malicious. see for more info.

Update ur spyware/ad-ware, and do a scan. If nothing then google the results and take it from there.

Yup. Having the same thing pop up every time I load a Lumberjocks page. I also have Malwarebytes. It’s annoying, but I am glad it’s being blocked. BTW, Malwarebytes is a top notch anti virus program. It’s the only one I was able to use to get rid of a particularly nasty virus that took over my browser and tried to tell me I was infected. Then, it wanted something like $80 to buy their solution. 4 hrs. of fighting this thing with all sorts of weaponry (it kept renaming itself and moving-if only they could use their power for good and not evil) anyway, LJ should get rid of this advertiser.

I am glad to hear it just isn’t me. I am going to send a like to this forum to see if he can get it corrected.

It could also be a false positive from Malwarebytes.

Yup! I have Malwarebytes and it also gives the same message, listing that same IP address, everytime I load a Lumberjocks page, including when I clicked onto this thread! It also mentions “Type: outgoing” in the warning message. Very pleased with Malwarebytes, great software.

I have sent two messages to Martin telling him about it and asking him to let me know what he found but have gotten no response at all…..

A similar problem is being reported elsewhere on other forums across the net. Apparently Malwarebytes has blacklisted a service called Cloudflare that many forums use to help block spammers, hackers, etc. Malwarebytes has accused Cloudflare of ”hosting some nefarious site” and as a result has identified anything associated with that service as a threat.

As Lindsay Blanton, President of, puts it, ”Essentially at this time this is a issue between Cloudflare and Malwarbytes, with MBAM accusing Cloudflare of hosting some nefarious site thus resulting in them blocking Cloudflare sites.”

You can read more about it on this forum thread –

I have no idea if Martin uses Cloudflare or anything associated with Cloudflare, but if he does, it’s a problem he has no control over short of getting rid of the service (if he’s using it), which would be silly because the way it sounds, Malwarebytes has basically taken the nuclear option with Cloudflare – like cutting off your arm to remove a sliver in your thumb.

In other words, it’s a domestic dispute between Cloudflare and Malwarbytes and a number of forums are caught in the middle.

Hey, this might be a blessing in disguise. Instead of blocking members one at the time because they piss you off or disagree with you, you can just block the entire site….. :)

Thank you for the input. I am glad that at least someone maybe has the answer. I am still surprised that Martin has not posted an answer or answered my messages. Hopefully it will get resolved.
