Thanks Pete,
I don’t know if ESPN is covering it. We are all about the NFL and we loose track of the other sports. I am glad someone is representing us.

Hi Pete,

You forgot to mention the Springboks (South Africa) and the Aussies, who the All Blacks (NZ) will need to beat before they can claim the CUP.

Stephen, you guys were lucky to draw the “easy beats” you get a charm run to the 1/4’s
SA have a couple of tough “soften up” games Samoa & Fiji.
At this stage it heading for an Aust’ v NZ final, buutttt, sport is a funny game to play & you may find Wales gives you guys a hurry up Ha Ha
cheers Mate

I set my alarm so I could watch it at 2:30 this morning. The Eagles left too many points on the field. The have played to hard hitting matches all within 4 days. Which is incredibly tough in the rugby world. I am looking forward to the Italy match. I think anything can happen and the US will come away with two pool wins. If you are in the States, some world cup matches are being shown on universal sports. Also, some high profile matches will be shown on NBC.

I can keep you posted on future games if there is any interest

Please – NO.

Or rather – by all means, but please do NOT put the result in the forum topic – I’m going to be watching this mater today, or rather I was going to be, but now I know the result.

I don’t have any problem with discussions of the games etc etc – it’s only in the title of the topic that’s a problem.
A forum topic called ”Russia vs USA RWC (contains spoilers)” would be great.
Once I’ve watched the match I’ll be here reading and/or commenting.

All Blacks will meet the Springboks in the semi final game 2 and lose! :D

Just remember, the Haka was overcome with a jet (albeit a long time ago). This is going to turn into a tri-nations world cup!

brilliant game last night and not the result i would have expected…..but very pleasing to see that the aussie record remains as it has for the last 25 years at eden park…..that result will make an interesting quarter final i think…looks like there might be a space for a second tare team in the semis. i missed the usa russia match but i hear it was played with a lot of passion…go the usa

-- just get stuck in and have a go!!!

I am afraid you have all got it wrong! the cup will shortly be returning to this royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, this earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, this other Eden, demi-paradise; this fortress, built by nature for herself, against infection, and the hand of war; this happy breed of men, this little world; this precious stone set in the silver sea, which serves it in the office of a wall, or as a moat defensive to a house,
against the envy of less happier lands; this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England!

Well, NZ clobbered Canada today. Surprisingly, this game was shown on broadcast TV here in the States, and even though I didn’t have the faintest idea what was going on, it was interesting to watch, and it was still obvious early on that NZ would have its way with Canada. It was also the first time I had ever seen the Maori intimidation ritual.

The US has always beaten the Russkies.

The 2 best teams in the competition so far are up first in the 1/4 finals.
It’s a pity one of them has to go home so early but I hope it’s Wales.
This is going to be nerve-wrecking. It’s on tv at 6 a.m. here and I know I’ll be
lying awake all night. Waiting. Praying. COME ON IRELAND
