Are you in Cincinnati?

Is this place too far away? http://www.carsonslumbermill.com/

I’d go to Frank Miller Lumber in Union City IN. They specialize in quarter sawn woods, but have flat sawn as well in all domestic hardwoods. They are have a small selection of exotics, ad a very good selections of hardwood plywood, along with “real” baltic Birch. It’s a 70 mile drive for me (NW OH), and still my first visit when I need hardwood.

http://crlumber.com seconded! awesome selection, great pieces of plywood, exotics, turning blanks, one stop shop for me.right off of US 68. Young’s Dairy is usually a stop as well. no lumber there but the ice cream is tasty.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was hoping for something closer, but it’s looking like an hour drive no matter what. Just thought a decent-size city like Cincinnati could have enough business to support a more local place.

What about http://www.paxtonwood.com/ ? Their website seems to indicate that they do sell in small quantities.
