Pontic, It has been years since I got mine so I don’t remember the packing for certain, but I think it was in cardboard with very heavy cardboard triangles in the 4 corners on a pallet. I used a shop crane to lift it and moved it on a shop made dolly. It does have support bars if you know anyone with a fork lift. FWIW

Will an engine hoist work if I roped it to the lift hook? Then I could rool it down the ramp and in the shop.
I could rent one of those.

Was just on Grizzly webpage. Most of the planers are back ordered save a few. I have used a come-along when unloading my recent bandsaw purchase. can you put the hoist onto an overhanging support and pull your trailer out?

Nylon rope sling has worked on my lathe and bandsaw. Good luck!

Just use an engine hoist with nylon slings. Pick it up and roll the engine lift to where you want the planner. Do not need the ramp on the trailer. I have moved several pieces of shop equipment this way.
