Best way to learn about the machines is dig in and work on them.. you will get to know them inside and out, and you will be better equipped to operate them knowing exactly how they work. It’s not for everyone, but if you are the least bit mechanical, it can be a great asset. Plus you will generally get a much better machine than the crap they are selling these days for top dollar.
