Medium or thick…. not thin, because it wicks into the papertowel, and makes a sticky mess.
You want the droplets to sit on the surface of the towel, to be transferred to your workpiece.

I do about 4 coats in about 5 minutes

This guy does a plastic polish/anti swirl compound at the end. I haven’t done that.
