Out of the box my Grey BS1400 needed to havethe following done to it;

1) Link belt
2) Timberwolf Blades
3) Cool blocks
4) Plywood shelf inserted on the top of the center supports on the stand

Worked well, & I went to resaw some green white oak and “may” have over tensioned the belt, or it could have just been a crappy casting for the upper wheel support, but I bent it either way and had to replace it, the new one arrived in the mail and weighed almost 4x as much as the original piece, and since I had it all apart I put in a cobra coil spring. I paid $200 for mine when they were clearanced out for the new orange versions and have not had any issues with wheel balancing or the tires, the saw won’t pass the nickle test at start up, but it will while it’s running, next price range up is alot of money that just doesn’t make sense for my hobby budget.

-- I've decided 1 mistake is really 2 opportunities to learn.. learn how to fix it... and learn how to not repeat it
