How about an entertaining, fun to read book on furniture repairs and finishing? It’s “The Furniture Doctor,” by George Grotz. It’s and old book, about 1962, but has lots of great information.

A sampling of chapter titles: “Removin’ made less confusin;” “Bleaching—the Blondes I have known;” “How to Stain—If You Insist;” Aging Techniques and Fake Antiques.”

Well worth chasing down in used book stores.
