I’m confused. Your dryer runs off a 30 amp 110v. circuit? Hmmm. Anyhow, your 20 amp 110v circuit will be marginal, at best, with a motor that draws 20.4 amps. If the 30 amp circuit really is 110v., that’s the one you’ll need to use.

220 is better with a motor of that size, if you can get it.
