I have a Align-a-Rip Fence that I bought used as a low cost upgrade for the terrible fence that came on my craftsman 113 saw.

I did have to fiddle with it to dial it in and get it to glide smoothly and lock tightly but it works pretty well.

One adjustment I had to make to get my fence to work properly was to shim the front and rear rails slightly to make them parallel to each other. Then I adjusted the fence to be parallel with the blade. That may be something you need to do as well.

I can’t imagine how you can move the fence a 1/4” out of parallel if the 4 bolts on the top and bottom are tight? Is that with the handle in the locked down position?
