There have been several test done by various magazine on joinery and the conclusions were pretty unanimous that biscuits add very little strength to the glue joint but then again if it is glued properly the bonds are usually stronger than the wood it self. For face frames it probably makes little difference because the glue bond to the case reinforces the face frame joints. Kreg screws is still the best in my opinion and allow for faster assembly with no clamping.
