I need a little help…...truth be told A LOT of help.
I'm new to the site and apologize if this has been asked previously. I just finished a nice pine bed and finished with a combination of minwax oil based stains. We really like the look of the unfinished wood so we used a minwax finishing paste and we really are happy with the finished look as it doesn't have a very stong sheen to it. Does anyone know of a product that will offer this low sheen (matte) finish that would be suitable for a bathroom piece. I am framing some builders mirrors (frameless) for our bathrooms.
I live in Ontario (Canada) and can't seem to find a matte finish at the big box stores and the one i did 'Varathane Premium Diamond finsh' i can't find any information about anywhere on the web. Its not even on Rust-o-leums sites .com or .ca
Anyone have any good advice to preserve the wood without giving a satin or gloss finish?
Is paste wax suitable for a high moisture area like a bathroom?
