.... about what species this is. Well, I'm also clueless about a ton of other stuff, but that's a whole 'nuther story. We had a strong thunderstorm pass through here last week. Some 20,000 people lost power and on one of our customer's properties, a limb was separated from it's tree and mysteriously wound up in my basement shop "The Lair". ;^) I figured the amputated appendage may make good turning practice and everyone can agree, I need the practice.
I live in the Champlain Valley, here in northwest Vermont, along the shores of Lake Champlain. Yeah, that means the tree is located here in the northeast also!!! Your help in identifying what I have here is greatly appreciated. That and if you want to come to "The Lair" and mentor my turning, feel free to stop by.
