Who makes the best hex key wrenches? Some of the wrenches (I have hundreds of them) get their corners rounded off when tightening socket head cap screws or set screws. I know of Allen and Bondhus; are there any others that are higher quality?

Look around for a tool truck at auto repair garages. Snap On, Mac, Matco, they are all good. Guaranteed forever. Not cheap.

I consider Bondhus very high quality, Allen may have farmed their production out to China (hope not, just a chance). But the suggestion about seeking out a Mac truck or a Snap on truck is a good one; just be prepared to pay. I've had a set of Snap on hex drivers (for a ratchet) for about 15 years. A lot of use, and nary a problem.

Anything that is made it Taiwan rather than China is generally better quality. Though, I've been using a Harbor Freight set like these for a few years without any problems. I use them quite often. And I wouldn't normally promote their hand tools; I've bought very few of them.

A lot of the old USA made stuff wasn't as good as it was chalked up to be either. We have had serious quality control problems here also.
