Two Sketchup questions

hey all :) I wasn't quite sure where to put this so if Ms. Debbie needs to move it - please do so :) I'm in the process of building my next shop in Sketchup and am having two issues I just can't seem to find answers for so I thought I'd ask. One is if anyone can tell me if the newest version (Sketchup Make/2014) has a plugin folder on Mac? I can't even seem to locate a Sketchup folder in my App Support / Google folder structure but I have some .rb files I would like to try (HomeBuilder for example)

second question is - is there an easy way to make cutouts of studs? example - I'm trying to insert headers and footers for windows and need to cut pieces of my studs out. Drawing lines around the stud at the top and bottoms of the stud doesn't seem to be working very well. Any other tools that could be used for this purpose? Any direction would be great! I've checked out a few Sketchup podcasts as well and nothing has really come close to answering either question. ah well- back to it!

Since the 2014 version of Sketchup no longer keeps plugins within the program folder, it's likely that it doesn't create the folder in your user files until after you install one. I'd suggest downloading the desired plugin then loading Sketchup and going to Windows->preferences->install extension. Once you install one, it should create a plugin folder in the right location.

I think I know it now. You're looking under the Google folder but using Sketchup2014. Trimble quit using the Google folder and you should look for a Sketchup2014 or Trimble folder instead.

In Windows it's located in the hidden folders but Mac may be different.
