You did OK but not great.
I have a 8” Powermatic with the cabinet and I pay only a $150 more for it.
The absence of cabinet would concern me as I believe that the wooden bench will flex and move too much.
If you can weld, making a metallic stand or cabinet under it, should not be too difficult
