So Jim, my Delta has a sleeve for smaller units. Consider McMaster carr, for bushings. You can just drill thru the bushing to get to the chisel. you’ll need a longer screw obviously. If you don’t see normal bushing in your size, consider oil lite bearings. Then you can use smaller sets of mortise chisels. I recently read someone on here found some japaneese mortise bits that they said were nice.
