Hold-down clamps for...everything

Good day

You don't know but, yesterday was my 62 birthday and believe it or not, half a day I spent in the garage taking the pictures for this post and half a day I "helped" my wife moving her trees around the garden (it's normal…every week)

OK…

There are many methods and instruments for "Hold down clamps" and I think that I know most of them including the "You can buy at…" method…that I don't like so much…

So, I made them myself to fit to the my demands and jigs.

As you will see, it's so easy and cheap to make them and you can even use one, for a few tasks.

I did not mention it in the pics but, you can use them also for your cross-cut sled or the 45* sled.

...Nobody said that Knobs must be round, they can be even rectangular or square as long as you can turn them.

Regards
niki

Thank you so much

Tom and Bob
Well, I love moving trees but…from the garage shelves to the table saw…

If I had Rockler around here, I'm not sure that I would make those hold-downs (and other things).

Very interesting website…it's first time for me to see it…

That reminds me; my album in Photobucket disappeared and I had to open new one (all the new posts are from the new album).

So, all the old posts pictures also disappeared from the posts but, if anyone wants, just send me a PM with e-mail address and the requested post name and I promise to send a Zip file will the post pictures.

Thanks again to all of you

I hope you had a great birthday. This post makes me feel so lazy but I enjoy seeing how you solve day to day problems. Maybe next time instead of clicking the "buy me know" button, I'll go down to the shop and make something useful :)

Thanks for taking the time to post this.
Happy birthday

Niki,
I just had a brainstorm.

Maybe you could invent a jig to help your wife move those trees around the yard. Since she likes to move them about once a week, that could be a real time saver that would give you more time in the shop ;^D

I'm still laughing…but you know, when you hate to do something, you don't even think at that direction…

Besides, try to convince my wife that there is an easier way….no way…in the garden, everything is done her way…I'm only the "labor"...
