I’ve had my Craftsman 22124 for a number of years now, at least before 2007. It’s been a workhorse for me. I did get a thin kerf blade for it, and powers through 8/4 white oak and even 12/4 ash.

I don’t know of any recalls and if there were mine wasn’t affected. The blade spins straight and true and it’s easy to square the table to the blade with just 4 bolts.

As far as the $600 goes … It could be worth it. That’s uphill to you. I bought mine new way back for around $800 and soon after they went up to $1100. It is exactly the same as the Steel City just with a different name on it.

The only thing missing that I wish came standard is a good riving knife, but even that can be corrected with 3rd party add ons.
