i am trying to true up my table saw, i just purchased a new blade a freud combination 50 tooth.the blade is also chrome plated. i marked a "favorite tooth" with liquid paper and when i run the dial indicator on that tooth front and back im geting a reading thats out .001" wich i think is prety good, but when i run the dial across the side of the blade it gains .005" near the center. is this normal? am i doing it wrong? i would apreciate your info before i put the saw back together as i nearly had to scrap the thing to get at the bolts.

thanks in advance

I have noticed many blades "growing" at the center by several thousandths. I think this comes from coatings they apply and how they "work" the blade body to stiffen and straighten them. I have never had a problem with a blade that showed this thicker center so would not worry about it.

i have, i used the miter slots to set the blade with a dial indacator, checked both miter slots. adjusted the 90 deg and 45. the fence adjusts real easy like the byesmeyer type. saw's running great!

Thanks for the tips guys
much apreciated
