I have a saw similar to that. The stock guard that comes with that is a real pain to put on and remove. You have to remove it every time you make a non through cut, dado, etc.. Mine is permanently removed. Make you own ZCI and get the microjig splitter like the Box Whisperer has said. They work well and I also use feather boards as another insurance against kick backs. Probably the best upgrade for that saw will be an aftermarket fence. I put a Delta T2 on mine and it has greatly improved the performance.
