A friend dismantled his old projector TV, and found a very nice mirror in the bottom of it. The optics on the mirror seem to be high grade to my old eyes. He would like me to frame it. I am always happy to help re-purpose stuff.
Trouble is, the mirror has the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, only the acute angles are cut perpendicular for an inch or three.
How hard would it be to cut this mirror?
I suppose a glass shop would cut it, but would it cost an arm and leg?
Thinking I can frame it the way it is, maybe with an extra little board on the bottom to act as a coat hook. But it would go a lot quicker if I worked with it as a rectangle. (no money to be earned here, I hate to sink huge amount of time into weird angled miters).
thanks for your two cents worth!
