Bungy, it would help to insulate the floor but it really depends on where you are located as to whether it will be cost effective or not. For instance here in Kentucky I can keep my shop comfortable with a 1500W space heater during winter and do not noticeably feel chilled by my uninsulated concrete floor. The normal ambient temperature is generally above 20 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter and I have about 350 sq feet to heat. But adding a wood floor over the concrete would make it easier to work on. -- Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful- Joshua Marine |
