DELTA T2 Fence

Just received a Delta T2 fence system for my 113 contractor saw. Was planning on building a table saw station for my saw. The saw would be removed from the base and placed on the station, the station's top will surround the top of the saw and give me more work space for ripping sheet goods. Is the rear clip that hooks to the rear rail of the T2 necessary or can the T2 fence just use the front rail like the Bessimeyer fence system?

As long as you keep the glide block on it should be okay. However, that clip does serve a purpose, since the T2 is lighter than Bies, it keeps the fence from lifting up too high when you lock the fence in place. The rear rail does serve a purpose in that it keeps the aluminum sides and the steal tube from from scraping on the cast iron. I would be hesitant to do away with it completely.

Nice Score!! I love my T2. $179 is a decent price…...still a bargain compared to the cometition.
Toolbarn apparently offers free shipping for $199 orders. Someone could include a $20 set of drill bits or jigsaw blades to their order if it would adequately offset the shipping costs.

The rear clip could be removed but the rear rail needs to stay in place as there is a glide block attached to the fence that rides on the rail and supports the rear of the fence.
You will need to drill a couple of different holes in the saw for the fence to fit properly on the 113 series saw.
I put a t2 fence on my 13 this spring. It made a table saw out of that saw. The fence locks in square every time and doesn't move. I still check it out of habit but it is always square. The only thing you will need to replace after the fence is installed is a new miter guage. I replaced the factory one with an Incra v120 second best purchase I made for that saw. The T2 fence the best.
I converted the motor to 220 when I moved into my new shop. I was actively looking to replace the saw but after the fence and the miter guage. I am extremely happy with the saws performance.

IMHO, yes, it is. it addition to providing a surface for the rear support pad to ride as the fence is moved left and right across the table top, the hook prevents the outfeed end of the fence from accidently lifting up.
