I’m not local per-say but I’m on the south end of Austin, I don’t venture much into SA.

I just applied for a spot in the Gruene monthly market starting Feb of next year, still waiting to hear back as they are a jouried panel, voting process.

Oosik, another option for obtaining lumber and depending on what kind/type of woodworking you are wanting to venture into, if you are handy with a chainsaw and have a 14” with riser or larger bandsaw, you can make your own lumber and boards, helps to save on the over head, again depending on what path you take in woodworking.

Cabinetry can be profitable and is considered woodworking but it is taxing on labor and time, after doing two kitchens that was all I wanted and not the path I want aside you need large space for that, furniture and box making are both fun and don’t require a lot of space.
