i am trying to find plans for a globe shelf and i am not doing too well. if any one has plans or know where to find them please let me know. i am a 8th grade shop teacher and my students want to build one for the TSA competition.
It's called a globe shelf. If u do a search for Globe shelf u can see a few. Here is a link for one on eBay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/260923617270
TSA is the technology student association. They organize the regional and state competitions we go to every year. If we take something like this to the comp it will almost guarantee one of my students a first place medal. If u know of any one who has Plans or knows where to get plans for this please let me know
Let's bump it up to get more eyes on it…
If you can post a pic, it might jog some other people's memories but that looks very familiar to me. I'm sure it has appeared in one of the woodorking magazines but not with that name.
The last image on that fleabay listing is the assembly diagram. That might get you started. If I remember correctly, the one in the magazine had the notches being cut in rectangular boards before the same curve was put on all of them. and a keyhole router-bit was used on the back of the vertical slats so it would attach to regular screws sticking out of the wall.
