buying cheap could end up being expensive. at least you got the refund. If you need a welder – just save up and get a quality unit. the cheaper ones simply don’t cut it for most uses.

unless you do have a specific use -and know for fact that this lower-cost unit will do the job…then I would just get another unit and scrap the malfunctioning one – or if you are up for the task, try repairing it yourself. but for the cost these guys want to just take a look at it (no guarantee to fix) its just not worth it – in my opinion
