Shop down II
Just updates.

Shop down I http://lumberjocks.com/topics/53247

A quick visit to the work shop, the other day.
Not exactly a smile maker…
(For those who don't know the shop is being renovated by the owner).

This is what once was the entrance.
The wooden floor is gone and they are about to start hammering up the brick floor.

Here a look down the basement under.
Left side the old brick construction and right the boards ready for the new concrete floor.
So things do happen.

In the work shop.

******************** seems to happen also…

View out from the bathroom.

What used to be the kitchen.

Here in the back room it is easy to see the old construction is not well.
The beams are rusty and swollen so much they have pushed up the bricks between them.

And finally here where my glass wall usually stands.

Kind of depressing to come and see the shop like this, but nothing that a good beer at the local pub can't handle.

Still smile, now just with more patience.

Mads

you will really enjoy the shop
when it is fixed up right

you will also have new and improved ideas
when you get to set it up again
(i do hope they give you a better toilet
than that wheelbarrow)

Mads, you have get it down to bare supports before building it back up. It looks like quite a project and may take some time. Find that bar and keep the beer flowing until you can again cut wood! I wish I was drinking one with you, my friend!!

Cheers, Jim

wow…..so they poured concrete between steel I beams? is that what I see? and then they laid brick on top?

I've read about older buildings that failed because of the materials used to make the bricks and concrete.
Have you heard anything? I'm also curious….are they going to put the bricks back down?

man, I knew this was going to be a big project. Cheers to you my LJ bud,..... this is kind of exciting!

look forward to seeing more progress.

Brown Amber Wood Orange Brickwork

It used to be like this.
No, they will not restore it like this.
They will make new concrete slabs and let the slabs go into the wall.
Then they will put tiles or wood on top.
