I wanted to share this with folks that don't get Woodcraft Magazine. I bought a subscription about 3 months ago. The August/September issue of 2013 has this kool little Woodshop Organizer in it, where you can layout a new shop, re-do your shop, or just look and dream of expanding or building one. I am planning on moving a wall so I can get another 10'x29', and go from about 300 to almost 600 sq. feet….........when I get my 3-in1 crib done…... I know, don't say it. Anyway, this will help someone immensely if you want to build or re-organize. Thnx for lookin in, and anything said, good/bad/ugly is appreciated. After fiddlin with this little grid for about 3 hours, I hope my shop can look somethin like this; (when I git round to it) :)

I had to go measure mine, only 23 X 12, but I have to share it with my pickup in the wintertime, to enlarge
mine I would not only have to knock out the wall, but would have to build onto the garage. Hope you have
fun planning and using all that space when you get a round toit.

.....so let me get this straight. I have this borrowed corner of a garage to store my tools and have to do the actual work out in the alleyway. And you are doubling your shop space from 300' to 600'??? There is just something really, really wrong with that!

Thnx guys n gals. Spoon: lol.(I currently have about 435 sq. ft., so, with the wall moved, it'll give me a bit over 600'). I was told by the wifey when I 1st put the wall up, I shoulda put it there to begin with, but, oh no, I said, "this'll be big enough".... NOT! LOL Now with a few more added pieces o equipment, I'm gettin a lil cramped, so, I'm gonna move the wall. I am very thankful that I am able to expand. I never really thought I'd have a shop like I do have, but, these past many years, my hobbies have been changing, so, that's my story, and I'm stickin to it.. Thnx for all ya'lls comments.

Go for it Roger, you have about the same as me, i'd be too scared to increase mine it would just create more hiding places for my gear & take twice as long to find anything :::))))

What I think is that you should Roger instead of expanding your walls is contracting your walls move them in making your shop smaller so you'll know what it feels like to work in a smaller shop like us less unfortunate LOL

Good luck and keep us posted :)

Thnx again everyone. Randy: LOL. My very 1st thoughts of having a shop was gonna be a 12×20 shed. The wifey said, "that's not big enough"... (talking about the shed, of coarse)... thnx fer lookin in
