Technically, it’s just the baffle that sits within the DC drum ring. A separator is what you built with the SDD. Adding the thine baffle to the drum ring will greatly promote the direction of more collected material to the collection bag than to the filter. Here’s how I added a baffle to the drum ring of my delta 50-850 using a discarded frying pan. A proper thien baffle will probably work better, but this was readily available and inexpensive.
