Well I’ve got one that’s definitely a light orange color, even after I flattened it. You’d think if they were going to do different colors they’d at least have some sort of secret marking to tell them apart.

I soaked them both again, flattened both and tried one more time to flatten the back of a couple of small cutters. I think the orange one is just a bit faster, so I’m going to call it the 4,000 grit and be done with it.
And the other one did get much lighter when I cleaned it. Now it’s closer in color to my 10K stone (which I rarely use because I don’t have the patience).
