I am very sadly shocked to hear this news…
A very sad day…
A true Master at our craft…
... such ingenuity…
... logically thought-out NEW Techniques…
... New twists to OLD Techniques…
Gary will be missed BIG TIME…
I often wondered why he stopped posting & building so much… He did say he was going to be very busy taking care of his young daughter…
A few short years ago, he put out a Bulletin that he was going to be in So. Calif. & welcomed contacts…
I responded to find out that he was going to be very close to San Dimas, his home town.
I invited him to Pinnacle Peak Steak House for a nice dinner… he suggested that we go Dutch…
We had a wonderful dinner and time talking about all kinds of stuff… He showed me some beautiful wood he had purchased, in the trunk of his rented car…
I was thinking of contacting him again, very soon, to find out when & if he was going to visit again… so we could have another nice meeting…
I should have done it a long time ago…
Now, it's too late…
He's gone…
I wonder what the cause of death was… Related to woodworking… lung problems, etc. ???
I am very sad… I really liked him… He was a very nice guy… May he RIP…
My deepest condolences go out to his young daughter and Family…
... I really FEEL for them…
